"I am L, B’s wife, and the happy recipient of your exquisite ring. I want to write to you and let you know how much it means to me that you met with Bill and put in so much time and care making your beautiful minimalist design for us.
When Bill rededicated himself to me it was a beautiful sunny day at the beach with whales and dolphin breaching as he proposed to me.
I had no idea he was getting me a new ring. When I opened the bag, there was a box stamped with your name on it, I thought “this is gonna be good!” That did not prepare me for the emotions I felt when this gorgeous, big, perfect diamond ring that you designed glistening in the sun. To understand my reaction I want to share with you that I had a rough start on the idea of marriage as a kid. Even at 56, when I opened the box, i felt this small girl in the pit of my stomach unfold her wings and reach out to accept this symbol of brightness and protection. I didn’t realize i had always wanted this ideal symbol, but she knew. And B knew.
B told me the stories you shared with him when he met you, and that you flew to New York and then to San Francisco to meet him, even though your daughter had to cancel her time to meet with you. Every time I look at the ring I see the care that went into making it, the sun filled day bill re-dedicated himself to me, his sunflower face, our family and the V shape holding the diamond. I think, “V for victory.” Thank you so much.

"Dear Mr. Moore,
I was cleaning out an old business card holder that I bought and over-stuffed, 20 years ago. Time seems to go by so fast these days.
In that stack of business cards was one that I always held on to, from stuart moore. She must have been the Sales Person who helped us transform a vision into reality.
When I moved from a little town in New England to Newport Beach 30 years ago, attracted by the sun, surf and beach culture, I would walk thru Fashion Island and window shop. At the time I was working a lot in Switzerland with luxury watch-makers exploring new titanium alloys and manufacturing processes (Liquidmetal) and Stuart Moore’s jewelry store in Fashion Island was the one place that reminded me of the Zürich Bahnhofstrasse and other magical places where avante garde design was transformed into reality.
My fiancé is of Danish heritage, and she loves simplicity and minimalism. She worked for over a decade designing uniforms for sports teams and has a strong sense of aesthetics.
When it was time to get her that one profound gift that symbolized her, it needed to be fused with my own appreciation of art and timeless design. So of course I chose a Stuart Moore design: Suspension in platinum with an asscher cut stone.
I just thought you’d like to know that your work displayed at Fashion Island was always an inspiration to me as a design aesthetic, and your people were always an example of how to be a class act in the luxury goods business.
The closing of unique stores and boutiques in Fashion Island and replacing them with larger global brands always feels like a loss, a transition where the artisans get squeezed out. So while I miss seeing your designs in person thru the little windows, I was happy to find your website on-line today knowing that your business continues to thrive in a different manner.
